The Royal Golf Club Earns Attention of Local TV News Stations
Summer is in full swing at the Royal Golf Club and with it, the club has earned the recent attention of two local TV stations.
When Annika Sörenstam recently visited the Royal Golf Club as part of the festivities involving the 3M Open, she had the opportunity to sit down and do an interview at the Royal Golf Club with KARE-11 reporter Jana Shortal about her career as a professional golfer. Shortal, who admitted that she knows very little about golfing, asked the golf legend and designer of the Royal Golf Club’s front nine holes, otherwise known as the Queen’s Nine, a range of questions, from how Annika got her start to pay equity in women’s sports. Another exciting visit came from FOX 9 News Reporter Dawn Mitchell, who did a story about our one-of-a-kind Short Course. Created for golfers of all ages, the Short Course is the perfect setting for youth who are interested in learning how to play the game. Mitchell’s story highlighted our family friendly policy allowing all junior golfers, 17 and under, to play the Short Course for free. Kids can gain insight and confidence, while having fun and learning to love the game of golf. Check out the story here.
