Established by the Club’s Founder, Hollis Cavner, Royal Golf Club’s junior golf program is cultivated by a profound respect for the game and for golf legends, Annika Sorenstam and Arnold Palmer. We are committed to developing a program that serves two primary purposes. The first is to grow the game by introducing junior players to golf, this will be done through the program as well as various activities. The second purpose is to make the game fun and approachable. By valuing camaraderie, fellowship and sportsmanship above competition, we can create an environment that junior golfers of all ages and abilities will enjoy.
Whether they’re just taking up the game, or preparing to be a tour player, we’ve got the needs of every junior golfer covered. Our junior program, in conjunction with the MNPGA and MGA, will offer everything from instruction to playing opportunities. Our family friendly 6-hole Short Course is free-to-play to all junior golfers under the age of 18. Additionally, we will lend out clubs to junior players who don’t have access to their own set. Our hope is that by eliminating any barriers to entry, junior golfers will have the opportunity to fully experience this great game. And as junior golfers continue to grow, they’ll be able to enjoy our 18-hole Queen’s Nine & King’s Nine course, which features tee boxes ranging from 4,100 to 7,100 yards.
In addition to our many golfing options, we also plan on developing a Junior Board of Directors, so younger players can have a voice in how Royal Golf Club operates. Our Golf Shop will also feature a juniors section, so players of all ages can gear up for the game. Finally, Royal Golf Club will host family friendly events throughout the year, bringing friends and family together around the great game of golf.
